Considering EDM, probably some edition of an old radio show (For Those Who Like To Groove, presented by Robin Albers aka Jaydee) back in '91 or so.

The good old days.

Magik 4: A New Adventure

Arguably the best of the Magik series.

Paul Oakenfold presents Dragonfly - A Voyage Into Trance

After that, im not sure, but I was hooked. Probably the susequent and earlier Magik's after that though.

Tranceport was the one that I first listened to ALL the way through. It's not a live set, I know, but it's a set of music nonetheless.

I wasn't recommended it by anyone though - I'd never even heard of it before. I just heard Oakenfold's name mentioned on the radio during one of those Trance mixes, and so I just got an impulse to pick one of his CDs the next time I was at the store. I just happened to choose the right one, I guess.

I guess the first live set I listened to all the way through was Tiesto's set at Miami Space - I knew all of the songs already, though, so it was nothing unusually special to me.

And I'm damn glad it was my first. Proves trance can be amazing without any of that fluffy Tiesto crap.

Tiesto live at ...shit i can't remember. it had Lost Vagueness on it and his remix of flesh at the end, with a really loud, british dude talking over it. oh my god this is going to drive me nuts. it's from like 2000 or 2001. that was my first live set i listened to. i had already heard other ones but from cd's, like sasha GU013 and David Padilla "In the Mix" volume 2
