2004 Toy Drive to Include Free Brian McKnight Concert on Saturday, December 11
BUENA PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 2004-- Knott's Berry Farm has teamed up once again with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, NBC4, Telemundo 52 (KVEA) and HOT 92 Jamz to make the holidays brighter for kids throughout Southern California.
Under the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Drive, guests bringing a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more to Knott's will get into the Park free Dec. 4, 5, 7, 11 and 12, 2004 only.
The collected toys will be distributed by U.S. Marine Corps Reserve personnel to disadvantaged children throughout Southern California. The annual program is part of a nationwide U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.
Guests participating in the Toys for Tots program can meet NBC4, Telemundo 52 (KVEA) and Hot 92 Jamz on-air celebrities before experiencing the holiday attractions at Knott's Merry FarmŽ. The park has been transformed into a spectacular holiday wonderland with the Christmas Crafts Village and the dazzling ice show, "It's Christmas, Snoopy."
As an added bonus, HOT 92 Jamz will present a special FREE concert with R&B great Brian McKnight at Knott's Berry Farm on Saturday, December 11th at approximately 7PM. The singer/songwriter will be releasing his ninth album "Gemini" February 8th, 2005 and will perform at the Calico Square Stage inside the park.
Back for 2004's Merry Farm is the creation of Elf Mountain Christmas. The famous Timber Mountain Log Ride has been transformed this holiday into a world of Elves getting ready for Santa's busiest day. Rich with lights, music and the merriest of times, this attraction will remain open until Jan. 2, 2005.
In addition to terrific holiday shopping, dining and entertainment, Knott's will unveil Silver Bullet, the park's tallest and longest suspended roller coaster on Tuesday, December 7th.
