How would it look if...

How would it look it a Disco House DJ and enthusiast were to make an incredible trance track. Would trance listeners deny the song, despite it's beauty and incredible production, just because the producer is not really a trance person?

Tracks a track. If it's good, it doesn't matter who produced it. If Dieselboy dropped a sick progressive track, I would buy it.

In a perfect world, maybe. There are many acts that have produced good tunes but still get labelled cheese because they happened to produce one or a few tracks that hit it big commercially. You seem to be a bit more intelligent than that but a lot of people (especially TA's) are really close minded about these things...

they would actually use an effective vocal for once, unlike the claptrap boring tripe that is killing trance.

No-one would care if the track was made by an alien in a white suit if the track was quality.

In fact if the above happened I'd just buy the track anyway.

i think it's more a question of "would anyone listen to it in the first place to find out if its an amazing trance track" to which the answer is no.

if someone tells me that dj sammy made the most fantastic techno track, i would go and listen to it. but i certainly wouldn't be listening to dj sammy stuff on the off chance he makes something good.
