Christian Rusch - Solar Stoned

Not 100% finished, but well on the way - should be finished at the end of this coming weekend.

Deffo has a ferry corsten influence. with some old fashioned tones. I like it! The high pitched tunes fit it very well. There is a lack of substance to the melody. The kinda break in the beat is very cool. When the music stops and u keep a syth going is very cool also but try to vary the baseline or the melody in this part a little. Good work!!!

listening:

plus
Good sound
loads of different things happening
really like the part were the bass enters
best part of the track is the bassline.. (fill that up with some nice percussions..

minus
*some percussions sounds are too easily spotted.. hide some of the closed hats more... and fill the track up with some more percussions or loops.. sounds kinda thin..

*kick is kinda flat

*please change the name.. as a Solar Stone fan.. this name sounds kinda stupid too me..

*dont like those "jumping melodies"

sorry for the messy review..

The beat and percs are weak.
Lacking backing fx and pads make it sound really thin (and those annoying "computer bleeps" should had been left in the eighties).
The melody doesn't really go anywhere.

All in all this sounds really one dimensional. It might be because this is unfinished but there are a lot of layers missing...

I think it has potential, but the song itself doesn't really go anywhere.

also agreeing with mr mystery.

- This song seems a bit bland and has little to no drive.
- The percussion needs a lot of work, it seems so lifeless and is half the problem the song has no drive.
- There really is nothing to remember this song by, perhaps a stronger melody would be better.
- The bass is pretty much the only thing i like about this song, its sort of interesting! So good work on the bass

I really think this needs a lot of work rusch, it could just be down to taste but im not felling this one at all.

the track lack of dynamism, perhaps because of the too low tempo or the drums not enough deep, like the kind of hihat 8 bits. Sometimes the kick is too present also, as from 2.40...
Nevertheless for a version of work that sounds already well, perhaps it misses pads or some synths and drums.
