Micah: Acandavi

I had already heard Micah's original a few weeks ago, and I really loved the smooth melodic breaks they used this time! I saw the official release in the recordstore the other day, and to my - most pleasant - surprise it also contained a Chris Micali remix on the flip. Micali usually never goes wrong, and this is no exception! His remix is a bit more happy and melodic than his usual productions, but still pretty damn tasty none the less! The deep yet funky groove, the subtle melodies and sweeping strings, I love it!

Anyone else digs this?

Micah: Acandavi (Original/Chris Micali's "air supply" remix) 8.5/10

Micah is definitely one of the most promising talents I've come across so far, but this is one of his weaker productions IMO. Just too little substance and too much dullness, like the majority of the scene he is in suffers from nowadays. I much prefer his collab with Nicholas Bennison and his UG Recs.-releases over this.

only heard the original so far... it's very good. just a bit disappointed with the strings, they're pretty standard orchestral ones. they do not quite fit with the other darker sounds..

but a very good track overall
