Lead Mixdown

Help im lost!!

I have look out for tranceproduction... n other website.. For Mixdown n Mastering...

But all of above.. doesnt explain about leads...

i had kept trying n trying on FL... but i cant get a sharp n clear lead.... ok i can do clear lead... but it gives me lots of RES n sometime it drowns the song n cause DIST... when i play with the volume.. it DIST the whole song n there is no space in my wave graph.. everything is full the whole bar....

can someone help me on LEAD MIXDOWN?

you need to record the lead at a proper volume. You are recording at way too high a volume and probably using too much distortion. What you need to do is record it lower as a dry lead(no effects) then place it in the mix...also make sure you roll off some of that low end that doesn't need to be there so your bassline can get through. give it a slight dip(cut) in high end at around 8-9000khz respectively though(if needed), cause I from what I can tell your using distortion up the ass or clipping...cutting some high end will get the hats through much better. Now place some effects on it if you need to..delay, ect..hopefully you should be ok by now...remeber to also eq the rest of the sounds...remeber everything is working together in the track..all instruments are there to compliment each other, not battle it out. A lot of instruments share frquencies but by using eq(its your best friend)you can concentrate on specific parts in the spectrum to deliver maximum puch and have everyting working like a well oiled machine.

Do you mean give a minus(-) at the high end at 8-9000khz... or do you mean put the high end around 8-9000khz???

N I EQ every channels.... but shit happend.. the CPU boost so high n I cant even listen to my song, clean... it crackles like hell ...how can i get this fixed?? the crackles2 things...

btw thnx to Limit for the explaination
