i get these random friend requests from people who dont know me or anyone i know. do you add these random people to your friend lists when they send a request to you? i feel like it kind of defeats the purpose.

exactly, or so they can market their cd or something like that. some seem to be actually honestly looking to meet people but i dont see how being on my friends list on myspace gets them any closer to actually knowing me.

most of the people who have contacted me are about my age so i dont think that generalization is necessarily true.

yeah i never accept people i dont know. They just want many people on their list to look all popular... sad thing is they're not...

If i never met the person i don't add them. Technically i met you down at the Meterodorm in SF for the Loveparade so i can add you!

I get those too from ppl trying to promote themselves and whatnot. I only let people on that I talk to every once in a while, so my friends list is looking pretty bare right now
