As American leaders in the international dance music arena, DEEP DISH have become one of the most revered names in dance music with accolades ranging from a Grammy Award, the American music industry's greatest honor, to international acclaim (Muzik magazine's choice for "Best International DJ") and high-level placement on DJ Magazine's World's Top 100 DJ's readers poll. With a new release, Deep Dish - Global Underground: Toronto,' their second for the Global Underground series pegged for summer 2003; DJ diaries booked up for months; remix offers that just keep coming; a flourishing business in DC consisting of three record labels (Yoshitoshi Recordings, its sister label Shinichi Records, and new offshoot YO! which they A&R), and a DJ agency, Bullitt Bookings, there seems to be no end in sight.
Deep Dish are widely-regarded around the world for their explosive live DJ gigs. Last year the Los Angeles Times (1/2/02) stated, "…there may be no other live DJ act better than Deep Dish." And by the looks of their diary, which marks stops in places like Singapore, Milan and Tokyo, this statement is testament to their demand. Over the years, Deep Dish have held residencies at hot international club destinations such as Renaissance in Ibiza, Space in Miami, Release in San Francisco, The End and Ministry of Sound in London and beyond. Their relentless world-wide touring made them an obvious choice for the Global Underground series. On their first contribution, Deep Dish - Global Underground: 'Moscow,' they had the distinction of being the first duo to provide a mix for the much-lauded collection which went on to become one of the label's highest selling releases and won Deep Dish the DanceStar USA Award for "Best Compilation" in 2002. Later this spring Deep Dish will release their second CD for the series, Deep Dish - Global Underground: 'Toronto,' with music inspired by their sold-out gig last December at Canada's largest club, The Guvernment in Toronto.
I beat you to Vtec you wanker lol
Anywas I was really not going to see Deep Dish because I never interes in thier style of EDM. Also my first time I actully saw them was in Sept in Toronto and there really played a boring set. I passed by a few times but I never got into it. So now I am sort of pummped on seeing them at Glow.
Also Charlie/Dance Fever is back from Iraq so I am happy aswell. I haven't seen him since Last year in November.Hopefully this night wil be better than there set at Toronto since my real friend will be around .Where my D.C./VA TA's
