Why don't you consider Hamburg! Lot's of clubs, not too huge, near two coasts, maritime athmosphere, but weather sometimes comparable to London.
Anyway - what I got for an impression from Berlin, whenever going there for some days, is that there is a very vivid club-scene with loads of different electronic music-styles.
Another point is the multicultural setting - there are lot of people from all over the world around and some parts of the city can be called "little-india", "-turkey", "-...".
A good Lifestyle in Berlin is at least more affordable than for example in London, where going clubbin or even having a coffee to go is a complete rip-off compared to average German prices. But prices in Berlin are a bit higher than in other German cities.
And with Berlin, you are more or less in the middle of Europe and can easily travel to any other country.
Can't tell you about IT job situation in Berlin, but allover Germany we are suffering from recession.

Thanks,
Why can't you compare them? Where is hamburg? LOL...
Im from Australia here, mind you German born & Italian.
I wanna move to Europe, as there is just more to offer and It's more exciting...
I study Oracle programming, I don't think finding a job would be too difficult, but I wanna meet friendly people, gorgeous women, good food and a decent lifestyle.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hamburg is the biggest city in Northern Germany, very near to the Baltic Sea and to the North Sea with a great harbour. So if you like to be near the water, enjoy the beaches in the summer, doing water-sports like wind-surfing or sailing - it's the place to be.
I'm pretty sure you will find friendly people all over Germany and our food is a lot better than the british! Resp. you can get good food and have a decent lifestyle in London, but then you will have to spend a fortune. There is already a large Aussie Community in London, what could make it a bit easier for you, but also might prevent to really get to know another culture and language.

U wanna come to Germany? Funny, I'm just looking for getting away from here possibly straight to Australia.
4 Cities could be interessting for ya:
Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich as centres for good party locations.
Btw, I'm afraid, that I failed to remix your track, but lets talk about this over PM.
Greetings to Australia,
Ian
