i disagree.. i dont understand quantum physics, but i dont fear it. i fear failure, but i dont hate it. sometimes its good because i can learn from my mistakes...

The whole "fear of the unknown" thing is just an aspect of our society. I'm kind of studying that right now, and it really suprised me since I've always been told that it's part of human nature.

Agree, most people fear unknown things just because they don't know what it will bring. And in some cases, this fear become hate (i.e. racism, people don't know about other cultures, so people fear immigrants and end up hating them because they just "don't fit in here" or "cause problems").

Note this is a generalization, so it doesn't matter you act this way, it's society the one who does it.

I agree with that.

It seems common for some people to fear some of what they don't understand...or at least, I find it more common for people to readily accept that which they understand than what they don't understand. Even a small degree of prejudice will make or break an opinion on something that would be seemingly brand new; people fear being caught totally off-guard though, so it makes the discernation of totally new concepts somewhat of a shock to those who have pride in their "knowledge".
