ViaRail and WiFi!
Currently on the train going to Montreal.
ViaRail has WiFi internet access in their first class cars! Certainly makes the 4 hour trip more interesting. Nothing like free booze, 3 course meal and surfing TA + pr0n.
The speed isn't fantastic (15k / s - tops), but enough to do email, basic web and chat. I believe they've blocked everything but port 80 - as I can't seem to get messenger or webmessenger working.
None the less - technlogy is uber good and makes me uber happy.
BTW - I am in the web-based 2HP.ca Radio chat room if anybody is up to chat. URL is below.

You need to know what your settings are or VIA's?

I think ~$370 is the Via1 price (with no discounts), I don't pay - company does. You can get a 7-day pre-booking discount and other corporate rate discounts.
