Smiley DJ how to be a Trance DJ in Toronto?

Hi all, I was asking this on trance.nu they send me here to ask for it, so again:
How can one get to be a DJ ? I think I understand to music , even i know things that others dont know, I can mix on computer, what is not so easy if you imagine that your only way to use is single mouse + keyboard, also I can handle real turntable with mixer, but how can I get to make a gig somewhere I dont know , For ex: I live in Toronto, there are several major dance clubs, most of them are well known because of their special guests ... I was still into this style, it makes me special, I wan to spread this feeling to others by the way I know it, and only way to do so, is to be a DJ, maybe somebody can help to find anything where I can promote my self, I have several mixed CD's, some my firends says that they are good, why dont I try to make a Gig ?
Any advice is welcomed thanx folks

Seems to be very easy to stream a radio over internet, but who will listen to it ? I used to have a webpage but they closed me because of extensive traffic

Give out your sets. PEople will give it a listen....as long as its free. Since you wana get known dont matter how much you give out. Also dont try to give it to a certain type of people. Give it to anyone you meet or anyone you talk with. You never know if they end up changing their music taste.

unfortunately being a specifically trance dj in T.O. may present some challenges since everyone is into top 40 lately. My advise is to get some set's on the web, get some feedback from trance listeners, and then make a demo cd that you can had out to club owners or promoters. If you have any connections, you have to us them, and if you don't then you have to make some.

I'm not sure, i could be completely wrong, but i think that Jordan Ash (deleriuM2K) on this board has played at System Sound Bar. You can try e-mailing him and ask how he go his gigs downtown.

GL, and if you get a gig, let us know, some of us might be able to make it.
