reason vocorder help

i'm trying to get this vocal to sound more like a robot than a man singing.

so i made it have a nice sound, but now it doesn't sound like he's saying anything, just 'womamamanaa'.

is there any specific way to use the vocorder? or is it just fuck around until you're happy?

Made a little file for you, and I hope it will get you some idea on how you can make your voice sample sound robotic.

http://www.lnctv.com/~a41154a/reason_files/vocoder.rns

Some notes about the rsn-file:

2 samplers with 2 different vocal-samples.
First you hear them "dry" (no vocoder-effect used on them).
Then you'll hear the samples with vocoder.
The subtractor is used to "change" the sound to a robotic-sound.

Let me know if you have any problem.

Sorry for those bad vocalsamples I used in the rsn-file.

i got that far, but like you can kinda tell what the things saying, but it isn't as clear as i'd like ,but i dont want to make it dry, because i want it to sound robot, not vocals with somthing behind it kinda thing.

Why not run the sample through the audio splitter then into the vocoder and another output of the splitter into a seperate chanel on the mixer and add see if that makes the vocals a bit more clearer for you.
