What do I need to do in Cooledit to make the mix sound professional...aside from good beatmatching I'm an idiot with this stuff. I'm just wondering what to set everything too before I record to make it sound goooooood!
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Experiment dude, it's the only way..
sounding good is more about what your putting into the software, not what settings you record.
that said, record at at least 44100khz stereo, that is "CD quality" anything less than that will sound lousy.

This is a matter of trial and error till you get the right input vol etc right.
That said when you're donw and just before you burn it to a cd or whatever run it through the hard limiter which amplifies the track without letting it distort. Work hella good
Other then that you could try putting it through some filters to play around with it. You can speed it up or slow it down or whatever really. It's your imagination that'll limit you here
