Review of Sat. night's loft party! long but worth it
Um sorry for my lateness.
It was a great night. The best part for me and I am still glowing 'cause of this is that I am back and was able to dance a usual 9hrs that night.
DirtyDave and I arrived at about 12-12:30. Everythting seemed very unusaul. The place was dead. At 1am I have never seen the place soo vacant and with lights on no less. I continued to say WTF about this for a while to various people. Although, sooner than I could blink the lights went off and people started to come in.
At around 3am people started to pile in. Tony and I who usually had the door gave each other "the look and knew the place would be packed within the hour. Guess what... it was.
More and more people started to come in as if they all called each other from other parties through out the city and decided to all come to the loft. The most people that came through the front door at once was approximately 20-25 people. WOW!!!!
The guy (I am horrible with names as you guys know already) who came from the UK was terrific. His track selection was on key and his transitions were quite flawless. Once he went on the room started to really bounce.
Rich Woods was great as usual, although like I said before the place was kinda dead so people could not enjoy what I had enjoyed sooo many times ini the past.
Alex Pearce was absolutely f#$%^ing amazing (if I kiss his ass any harder I will have my upper body up his ass. But seriously he gets better every time I hear him play. Half way through his set I was soo amazed by his ability that I phyhsically could not get up and dance. He was transitioning from one track to another. Using a third track as just a tool to bring in the track he was going to play next was the best idea ever. WOW!!! nuff said
David Scott my boy! David and I are good friends and I love listening to him spin. I have told him almost 3 times a week since I broke my ankle that I miss being able to rock out to him on the decks. I was more than capable of this that night. Truly a great set. As I told you many times in the past and that night. "If I am capable of dancing all out as you know I can you played better than one could hope for." And. "It was an absolute pleasure tonight to be able to dance to you spinning." I was practically in tears when I told him this and gave him a hug.
Mykal Matters I cannot say too much as he has never dissappointed me in the past and I never expect him too in the future.
Pat (Ian's bro) has really been practicing(sp?). He was amazing. I have run out of words lol. H was soo smooth. I could not dance anymore at this point, but Ian was not taking that bull-shit and made me get up. Thanks Ian!!! I danced through out his set and for about an hour more. I am truly speechless bro, so I will stop there.
I brought a cake to the party to celebrate the Birthdays. Speaking of which Happy Birthday to Vlad, Alex, and Larry. BTW, you guys missed out the cake was delicious. Right Indy?
Great seeing all of you again, and I will most definetely see you at the next one. I will be the tall blonde guy walking around the loft acting like he is the shit. Why just because I am.
Oh and WTF happened to the low end specialists that were supposed to come. I never brought it up but I hope there was a good excuse. 'Cause otherwise the reall messed up.
If you haven't been before, or missed it a few times recently, this should make you come next party.
Signing off, your fearless dancing machine.
