Evil1 Illegal Copies

I've been feeling quite bad lately because I've just realized that my "Computer" studio is worth $3000. The reason why I've been feeling bad is because I have only paid half of it. A guy a met online sold me some programs for a really good price Ex:
NI_2 - $999, I paid $250
I don't know what should I do... Should I buy the original copies ?
What would you do ?

Was it a pirated copy or a legitimate licence? If it's legit then don't worry about how much you paid.

I won't go deep into the issue of piracy, but I feel if you're just using the software to learn on and mess around with then it's not a big deal if you pirate software. However, if you are making any money by using the software (i.e. you're selling your tracks, getting signed, what ever) then you should most definitely own a legimate copy.

Others may feel differently, I don't care, I've discussed this to hell before and you're not going to change my views.

The topic has been beaten to death in this forum alone really. All I can do is really state my opinion, which is that trying out a few programs you wouldn't have bought in the first place doesn't hurt anyone, but if you start to use these programs a lot and get hundreds of hours of use out of them, you should definitely make it a plan to purchase them and support those that made it.

I mean, how would you feel if you spent the next year of your life making some amazing piece of music/software etc, one that people surely WOULD have bought, but that they didn't because it was easier to download it.

On a side note, you paid $250 for warez????
