Wink Unknown song mixed into end of Vance Musgrove track

A couple years ago, I found an mp3 of "Squelch" by Vance Musgrove with some other song mixed in at the end. At first, I was a little put off, because I was looking for a clean version of the single--not something somebody ripped from some liveset or mix cd. But I kept the file anyway, and after a few listens I realized how cool the beginning of the second song sounded, even though I only had about a minute of it. It made me really want to know what the whole song was and who mixed it like that. But that one minute was all I had to work with, so I kept listening over and over, trying to figure out what it was.

I looked everywhere. I checked out all different DJs, I downloaded hundreds of new songs, listened to a ton of livesets, I checked vinyls and bought cds just to look for this one song I didn't know, mixed by some DJ I couldn't find. I found plenty of other stuff, but I never really found what I started looking for in the first place. And I didn't even know I wanted that until I found out by accident. Life is so weird.

So my question is this:

Does ANYBODY know what the second song is?

Sorry I can't help but such a bloody nice tune. So many good trax like these around. You play them in a record stores looking for goodies, and they are usually white labels with a black texta saying "dj somebody" and if you buy everything you play you will always be broke.

Funny how the drums in the beginning of your sample reminded me of a couple of mixes of D.V. - The Imperial March. But of course the tunes are poles apart. Nice if someone could ID.

no doubt.

actually the first 15 seconds or so is just the first track alone. i probably should have trimmed the sample more, but it's just such a great transition that i couldn't leave it out. haha

so nice to hear that somebody else actually appreciates this though...

Actually the first time I heard Squelch was on the Painting on Silence disc (http://www.discogs.com/release/145787), which I love, but I know that what I'm looking for is not from there. That's a great great mix though, check it out if you get the chance.

Also, I have a copy of Funk D'Void - Diabla and I know it's not that either....
