A soundcard? Now I use an onboard soundcard of my A7N8X-deluxe mainboard.. should I buy a new one?
Or some monitorspeakers? (active or passive?)
or a mixer? ...

get a new soundcard, since onboard cards are crap, both in sound quality and audio production usability. you can get m-audio audiophile, emu0404, emu1212m, esi waveterminal or some other good soundcard, there are quite a few out there. after that, some monitors should be next on the priority list - actives are less hassle, but i use hifi bookshelf speakers with a decent amplifier, so you can use that too. do not get a mixer before all that since the only thing you can connect to it is your computer
