American Dad: I'm speechless...

So I just watched American Dad on the telly. I feel like I've been given a lethal overdose of US patriotism in just 2 hours, and I didn't even watch then entire superbowl.

I killed myself laughing at a good portion of it. The horny german goldfish was classic.

I still don't know if I liked it or not. It felt so rushed, like an hours worth of plot crammed into 22 minutes.

Discuss.

its a complete copy of family guy...worth plagerism ever!!! but thats ok, cause i like family guy, so nothing from with more of it with a slightly different twist.

the alien could be brian
the fish (maybe) stewy, cause theres no one else i could compare him to, and they all look at him like he makes no sense like they do to stewy, so it all works.

then you got a brother and sister like family guy.

i liked it, family guy is still better (obviously, because this is just copying it, just giving an occupation to the father and going off that) but its something to watch none-the-less

Obviously family guy was better but I was still dieing laughing at so many stuff haha. I think family guy got cancelled because it was just to crazy with the things they said and made fun on, friggin hilarioius though. I *THINK* this is toned down abit from family guy, so hopefully it stays, because its hilarious!

This show had some funny lines, but too many stale and forced moments and bad lines to save it. I hope it goes away quickly.

I think the fish character is retarded.

The only thing that amused me was the *impersonation* of ("Bewitched") Paul Lynde's voice for the voice of Roger the alien.

American Dad --- Much better than 90% of the crap on tv these days thats for sure.

I think it was good. But you cant always judge a show by the first episode. Anyone ever see the first simpsons?

I think this show is good and of course its similar to family guy. Its the same cartoonist.

This cartoon is similar to family guy but you have to remember it is made by the same people so it's not really surprising.

This show had lines that were way beyond Family Guy in terms of being offensive (not a bad thing). The difference is you have to hear it not see it like in Family Guy. Also the Dad is not a loser like Peter, he is an ex-CIA agent who can do anything. The mother is a typical housewife not at all like Lois. The kids are different too, one is a hippie in college and one is a nerd, not like a half-wit and a girl trying to get popular is highschool.

It is already causing controversy in the States. Especially the phone call where the Dad thinks they are going to tell him his son is gay. That is good, it is getting people talking. Very anti-republican.

EVERYTHING causes controversy in the US and Canada.

As far as im concerned, if its offending at least one person out there its probably funny. What a relief from crappy reality shows

I missed it. I passed out on the couch about 15 minutes before it started. Missed 1/2 of The Simpsons too.
