No you won't.
The V700 is an excellent headphonie if you're checking out the looks and the sound quality (both marvellous). However, the V700 (AND the V500) have a construction error in a tube next to your earpad. As soon as you put the tube under pressure (e.g. you put it on your head, or you put something else between the earpads) it will wear and crack eventually. This is unevitable. A V700 with a normal user will last about 2 to 4 years.
IF you want a Sony headphone which DOESN't crack, look at either the V600 or the V900. They have an identical housing (the drivers are different), excellent sound quality and they don't have the breaking tube that the V500 and V700 have.
