Help w/ travelling to new york city

I"m coming to New York City from Philadelphia... was wondering what time I should leave if check in is at 3pm... but i want to beat traffic... does anyone know what traffic is like ???? i was thinking about leaving at 11am, would i be ok on the turnpike .... THanks in advance....

About 2 hours.....if you don't hit traffic. 3 at the most.
