Nick Warren still good sober

I enjoyed Warren's set, even though it had some pretty dark beats. Maybe I woulda been into it more if I hadn't been so sober after spending all of my money getting in. Still way too many sweaty guys and way too few cute girls. It was great meeting you swamper and shmecks or shmacks or shacks can't really remember your name. Next time I'm gonna go hit Inside, at least I can find me some poon there.

Agreed, Warren played a strong set and it was easy to see his skills on the decks. System was not overly crammed and they had nice air circulation going on so that helped make it an enjoyable evening. It was no tiesto or PVD (even though i did not go), but like the monstah swamper said, its a whole different vibe.

Nice seeing and meeting some TA's: Swamper, Schamcks (P - sorry i cant remeber the nickname), and the realspacemen who scored a wicked autograph from Warren.

Dont Worry PACO, seek and ye shall find...poon that is.

Confused

I've been seeking for a while now......I'm hoping things will improve........I'm out till AVB as well........and frankly am disgusted that system would charge $40........fuck 'em.
I know it's a small venue but still.........

there were some awesome tracks......but mood wise.....none that can take me as far as true trance can.......to each his own.

at this rate........I'll be asexual buy january. Or maybe I'll just have to take the trance with me in my head.......and deal with chicks.....that like hip-hop....(..........the horror).

peace

Thanks for keeping me on my feet Paco.

Yeah I saw Nick Warren like a year ago, and that's what I found too, very dark!!!

But it was cool.

Sounds like you had a great time.

NIce to see all the TAs at Warren last night. I wasn't all too impressed with his effort, but the tracks were decent. Earlier in the evening I was shakin it, but later on, after a trainwreck or two, I was convinced he wasn't in it for us.

Lots of boys there last night - I felt like the only girl in the club.

Thanks to Pacco, Jdamage, Soopa and Hansolo (if I missed you its because I can't remember your nick) for saving me from a terrible line outside System. YOu guy are the best !

See you at Armin

Very impressed

I had a fantastic night, and fortunately paid only 25 bucks before midnight. Unlike some, I was extremely impressed with Warren's set.
Great tracks, impressive mixing, and for god's sake the man went for over five hours!!! In fact, he seemed to be getting such a rush from the crowd towards the end (7:10) that I'm convinced he would have carried on if the management hadn't forced him to stop...Sure, it wasn't uplifting trance (which none expected from him) but great stuff to get you movin.

Have to say I was very pleased with the crowd at System. None of the usual bullshit you get at some other venues. I think I'll be going there more often.

Swamper, good to see you as usual and nice to meet you Schmacks. Will, (alias?) awesome hanging out with you man. You gonna post those tracks?

what!?!? where'd ya hear $40 from? i paid $25 to get in and that was fine with me. I *always* feel like i'm getting my moneys worth when going to a Breath night at System..

only thing that sucked was the lineup to get in, I can't remember the last time it was that bad.. oh well, we should've just gotten there earlier.

overall the set was good, but i expected more from him i think.. maybe a little more progressive house sounds.. and yea, I bet he would've kept going past 7am but they said he had to catch a flight - which is acceptable.. i love System on Friday nights, the music, the crowd, the drinks, the hot bartenders , all superb making it one of the best clubs in the north east. i can't wait for Danny Howells

Talking Nick Warren at System

Well I was not impressed with the lineup outside nor with the crowd inside, amazing how many more people will show up sometimes when they hear of a big name dj, even if they don't even know who it is.

Either way though, I had a blast, Nick Warren's programming was fantastic (which is what I expect from him) but his mixing left a fair bit to be desired, aside from trainwrecks he should really begin to try and just mix through pitch shifting, the well known "nick warren syndrome" was in effect the other night. Kinda makes me grimace when you can actually hear his hand on the platter in the middle of the mix. Oh well, he dropped plenty of fantastic tracks that I have never heard before so that certainly helped to make up in the lacking areas.

Met up with a ton of friends which was fantastic!! Great to see friendly familiar faces and met a shit load more of new people as well. I must say the vibe was fantastic! Although it was a bit better at Lawler but oh well, can't be too picky

Stand out tracks of the night!

Dirty - Dirty !!!! (For those interested I believe its coming out on the Junior lable) Track of the night for me!!! (obscene, dirty, filthy, immoral, aw yeah!) hehehe

And I was of two sides on one of his mixes as well. When he dropped the accapella over the Satoshi Tomiie Main-path mix of Papua New Guinea he did it perfectly and with style... however I love that song so much that I sorta didn't want to hear anything that made it harder to hear the actual song... either way a nice way to make his mix stand out from others.

I'm glad that I like James Holden productions as well, because Mr. Warren certainly seems to! LOL I don't think I have heard so may Holden tracks dropped by one dj before LOL.

All in all though a fantastic night!
