Dunno Ableton Live

OK, does this belong in here or DJ Booth??

Anyway - does anyone have any experiences with using Live v3.0 or v4.0. I want to start getting into it, but would like to know a little about how people have found it, it's limitations, it's strengths, etc etc.

It seems like it will be really addictive...

i'm using Ableton since dec last year and i totally forgot about Cubase.not only that can be used for dj'ing or live performances but it's a great sequencer for a studio aswell.the fx are great and theres no need for buying extra plugins since you have all you need in 1 prog + they are not "eating" your CPU.you can apply your fx or plugins to your hardware live + the interface it's more than friendly and easy to use.as an old cubase user i recomend Ableton

Drunk ABLETON WHO???

I've heard ABLETON 4 is okay...a bit complex...
And certainly not as intuitive as could be.

Maybe wait until April and check this bad boy out!

press release for upcoming Project5 II (now supports LIVE PERFORMANCE!!)

I had 4 and sold it on eBay, LOL...didn't have a use for it. yes, it's complicated but you get the hang of it quick. I had fun with it, but oh well, didn't suit my needs...just wanted to try it.

where did you hear this? ive used ableton live delta (the m-audio cut down version you get free with their soundcards) and its very intuitive. very good tutorials. very well laid out. that said, ive heard cakewalk sonar is like the epitome of simplicity. i dont know how project 5 compares to sonar but i love applications that are designed with ease of use in mind. hence why im floops all the way.

check out Synapse Orion, it's even easier to use than Fruity Loops and sounds better (imo).
