Dunno Tech 1200 or Numark TTX?

Bit of advice needed, I'm thinking about selling my tech and getting a TTX instead, I've only had my 1200 a few months and it is by far the best deck I have ever used this is why I can't decide what to do.

I can get a TTX for about £290 brand new while the sales are on, then I sell my technic and I have only had to put about £50 towards the TTX.

Positive

Brand new deck
All my other shits numark
Always wanted a TTX
Interchangeable tonearms
LED display

Negative
Technics owns all

TTX or 1200 I've read loads of topics about the 2, never used a TTX myself though. Any ideas? How close are the 2?

TTX is better performance wise I would say, but technics is industry standard & has proven the dourabilty over the years as which numark has not yet.

Personally I'd go for the tt500 ...you don't need the pitch view/bpm & people say it has better torque & everything than the ttx

Two brand new for like the price of 1 technics...but I don't know about the reliabilty from the seller.

tt500 for the price of a tt200

I got TTX1s a few months ago, and they work great, but if I did it again I'd probably get Tech 12s. The LCD display is worthless (BPM counter sucks ass, not that you should be using it anyway) and key lock doesn't work very well. Technics are just so sexy.

I bought a TTX as my first TT and returned it two days later for a tech. It was a toy, made of plastic. the pitch fader was all loose, the digital readouts were completely off and useless. Why would you sell the best deck you've ever played on?

Erm... the digital readouts were off? Do you mean the BPM counter or the pitch display?

1200...no brainer. Its more likely you will encounter the 1200 in other locations and you wont need to adapt to it. It seems like all the new tables add too many features. Screw that

Then it was defective. I've never seen a TTX that showed the pitch wrong.

The pitch on my CDX is also fairly loose compared to the one on the tech but I'm geussing they use the same pitch control for the TTX as they do with the CDX, so I know what I'm getting if thats the case.

Wether the bpm reader is accurate doesn't really matter as I got my ears for that. Also if the pitch does display wrong the main thing is that the tunes are matched not what the reader is saying.

This is why my decision is so hard.

The tech is the best deck agreed but I have played with that now, also 2 of my mates have tech set ups so I'm not gonna go without practice on em.

Thanks for the advice, gonna order a TTX today and see what its like when it comes. If its not up to scratch back it goes lol. I got some cash to play around with until they realease the damn 5000fx anyway so its better to spend it on this than crap.

why leave the choice between those 2?
There are so called "super-oem" tts out and theyre better than technics (so people say) only thing which only time will tell is if its as reliable...as 1200s

All my other stuff is numark so this tt will match up better with the rest of my set up.

So its tech or numark and the TT500 which is the next best tt they make probably has a bit too much torque for what I'm after plus it don't look as nice as the TTX imo.

Only bad thing atm, the TTX doesn't come with lids lazy fcukers
