I saw Tiesto at World and I loved it. I have seen Tiesto a lot of times (LimeLight, France, London, Texas, and Germany) I every Tiesto CD ever made and over 60 live sets on CD. Anyway I keep hearing people dis on Tiesto for his performance at World and I don’t know why. Ok everyone keeps talking about he messed up on Silence and that he keeps playing it in every set, wel from what I remember when he stopped the music during Silence so everyone can sing along with him and Sarah McLachlin there where very few who even sang along and the majority of the ones who did barely even knew the words to Silnce (its RAGE not RAIN u morons) so obviously some people havent heard Silence enough or ever at all and maybe that’s why he played it. That track is like a trademark of his, its like when or if u go to a Guns N Roses concert u know and expect them to play Welcome to the Jungle, even though it is played out and we all know it they play it cus it is a track that is almost a foundation of what they have become. If you people hate Tiestos tracklists all the time well maybe u should buy him out for a party give him your tracklists and have him spin what u want, this way u will be happy. If u ask me I don’t think Tiestos track decisions where all that bad at all I just think the crowd suked, I mean come on a couple of people didn’t even know that the last track he played before Urban Train was Cloudwalking. And if u are tired of hearing all the same tracks then just don’t go see Tiesto anymore , let the real fans that enjoy all his tracks go see him, I wouldn’t care if he played the same tracklist as Live at Dance Terminal..and that’s old, but what do I know ?…maybe I am jus a REAL fan of his and not someone who compllains about it all the time. Also I heard someone say that maybe Tiesto should worry more about his tracks then dancing on stage…well from all the times I have seen Tiesto I always loved the parts where he would come from behind the booth and get into it with the crowd…it shows that he is feeling the music as much as we are and not jus playing tracks to make people happy , which is what a lot of u people seem to want. Tiesto plays what makes the crowd feel alive and what makes him feel alive. Look at when he played The Prophet he walked out from behind the booth all calm and raised his arms from his sides up until the beat topped and then he closed his eyes and bit his lip then right with the song and other Tiesto heads he said "COME WITH ME"…don’t u understand that he is so alive when this happens and he wants u all to know it…I mean when he did that I felt all his energy come out and it made the night all that better…I would much rather have Tiesto come close to the crowd and shed his vibe then have him sit alone in a booth and not make any contact…that’s one of the reasons I love Tiesto….Also I have heard people say that Tiesto has become "big-headed" or that he thinks he is the "man" …ARE U ALL NUTS…..Tiesto is the one Dj that will always make time for his fans always…he will take pictures and sign all night long….he did am interview once where someone asked ghim what he thinks about people getting his music from sites like Napster for free and he said that it did not bother him because he knows its hard to get his stuff in stores in the US and that the money is not important to him just aslong as he can reach people with his music…..now go ask Oakie or PVD that question and I bet they will say they want tehre money…especially Oakie…..also at World that night a friend of mine who went to see Tiesto in Montreal recently tried to get an autographed record from Tiesto but wasn’t able to….so at World I saw Tiesto point to my friend and then my friend pointed back to him….then all of a sudden Tiesto walks out from the booth with a signed record and kneels down and personally hands my friend the autographed record and shakes his hand….no if u ask me that makes Tiesto a CLASS ACT….this DJ who travels all over the world non stop playting crowds of thousands actually remembered one fan from Montreal who wanted a signed record and gave that fan what he wanted….that jus shows how in touch Tiesto is with his fans…..look Tiesto can only play so many tracks in his time allowed he tries to pick what he feels will energize the crowd..he puts in old tracks for the fans who remember Magik 1 , he puts in the famous tracks like Silence for the ones who don’t know him well but have heard him before and want to hear more, and he puts new tracks in for the people who need more and more, he can only make so many people happy and I think he does a great job at it….i mean personally my favorite live set he ever did was Live at Energy 12.31.99 but I cant expect him to play it for me everytime I go see him…I wish I could but I cant….i would also like for once to hear him play Allure - No More Tears live for me but he hasn’t….but to be honest it really makes no difference cus every set he does I am pleased with because I am a REAL Tiesto fan and not someone who jumped on the Tiesto band wagon when he came out with SummerBreeze….enjoy him ot don’t…u all have your opinions but just don’t sit there and say Tiesto is not all that good or that Tiesto is falling off…..he does his best to please as many as he can and I am never let down….MAGIK RULES !!
