im going to buy one of these, the problem comes because my mixer has no effects send and return, it only has send, so is it possible to link this up between my mixer and my amp, using the main output of my mixer???

yeah man you don't need send/recieve.

in fact, unless your mixer costs 1000 dollars the send/recieve will probably suck anyway

I have an EFX500 and PCV275 and the send/return works fine here.
If you don't have the S/R you can put the EFX between mixer and amplifier. Be sure to record from your amp when you record your set. Otherwise you don't record the effects.

You can't really hear alot of the fx, unless you turn the send and receive way up, and that makes the music get louder when running it through the FX.

man i have a 275 too and the send/return sucks.

if you think your 500 sounds good now, try hooking it up between your mixer and your amp/speakers... have fun!

S/R does just what it says - sends sound to the effects processor, and recieves it, already processed. the difference from setting it up like this, or just between the mixer and amp, is, and correct me if i'm wrong, that if you have a S/R setup, you can select which channels you want to apply effects to, whereas if it's just between the mixer and amp, it will only affect the master output, and will render your REC out useless, as it will not give you the processed music, forcing you to, as someone already said, record from the amp.
