[Classical/Melodic/Prog] J.L. - Frozen in Time

Hey... it's been quite a while since I've posted a track here.

Well here it is. A combination of classical and melodic elements with a hypnotic progressive type sound. I haven't had much time recently to really sit down and produce for long, so it's taken me over the course of about 3 months to finish this track. I've spent many countless hours working on this and listened to it over and over just about a billion times

Hope you enjoy.

Download (Save As)

Please leave me some feedback. It would be very much appreciated. Thanks

P.S. I muted 1 second of the track every minute to prevent any groups from ripping this and etc...

ok, mate

this track is definitely unique!

love the combination of the classical and melodic elements in it, i like the melody. when i first listened to the track, i didn't really like the bassdrum, but now i think its fill the track really, remind me some tiesto kick or something, btw, the track is definitely not empty
love the percussion and those little sub-melodys, sweeping things, they are all really good, aswell all the fxes, great work, mate!
the mastering isn't perfect from my point of view, but good,

all in all some refreshing unique sounds here, really like this track mate, you should definitely send this out, jean-luc!

ps.: will catch you at MSN, soon

great work, man

cheers,

Peter

This is great stuff man.

And I don't know anything about producing, are the breaks in the song at certain points a way of "watermarking" the song? Or do I just have a shitty internet connection?

Either way, quality stuff, nice work.

glad you like it

the "breaks" are put there on purpose to deter those bastard release groups and also so that I don't have to give you guys a low quality or shortened version of the track.

Thanks for listening.

Also, this is fl 4.0 btw.

Hey kewlness ,
Always like to listen to your tracks cause they have something different.

Commenting as i listen:

Awesome intro. The FX work is amazing man! The bass sounds abit hollow. or is it just me? Great atmosphere, and hey i love the melodys!
The only bad thing i can see is the kick - its way too flat and it doesnt fit. Replace it! Other than that - Top shit .

Well done,
Antonio.

this is amazing. superb sounds and gorgeous melodies

i'd suggest a stronger climax after the breakdown, though. i didn't really give me the power surge i was expecting.

oh and keep an eye on the delay on some of the percussion elements.

thanks Eternal... i try to come out with original sounding tracks... 2004 was a crappy year for trance IMO with too much people trying to copy the ASOT/markus schulz type style. A lot of people try to be original by switching genres which is not really original as they just do the same things as other people do for other genres, but I try to stick to the basic trance structure and try to evolve on that...

Kreing^^, you've always been helpful and supportive... thanks a bunch

TOR, glad you liked it. I'll keep those things in mind (not necessarily means I'll change it to what you suggested) but I will take those things into consideration in the future... thanks!
