Alex Pea - Far Away

Here's my latest swayer

Have a listen to it, and tell me what you think:

Credits goes to Eirik aka Cyrex, for helping me with the lead-melody.

Alex.

Well produced and all, nice sounds and arrangement, but this is BORING man. It sounds like 50 other songs i've heard before, whose names I can't remember for a very good reason.

I like your submelodies though, after the main melody is done.

Hey Alex!

Super production once again, and excellent choice of sounds - you could definitely hear your 'signature sound' from the tune. Nice bass and percussion.
I do agree with state of matter though - the melody is a tad boring and seems like it's been done before, (if you know what I mean). You need to try and get a melody that sounds fresh and original ( fucking difficult I know, and its not like I can talk either!)

Other than the melody, excellent production

DLing...

intresting intro, percussion is fine. i think you introduced that synth (high attack, gliding saw one) way too early because i began to get a little bored right before the breakdown.

aroudn 3:48, disappointing build, you had all the emtion building and i don't think i even heard a reverse crash or anything. jumped in to the main almost too suddenly.

not much else, a good song, but it seems like you're trying to put in too much aka piano, saw lead, and a gliding saw... and a completely different part to the song at 4:45 that doesn't really go with the rest of the song... if you got it all to be more concentrated, i think this song would be killer

hope to hear more from ya

I totally agree with all the replies! I think the track is boring. I'll do better next time. I learned a lot of producing-skillz when I made this one though...

good dark atmosphere.. the bass is really tight.. liking the hats as well.. the melody is very good with that bassline progression.. strings adds good atmosphere as well.. a bit to repetetive sometimes..(maybe) wow.. didnt excpect this awesome melody in the breakdown... really tight melody.. a little too supersawish.. (but hey.. its trance right) dont feel it quite manages to maintain the power after the break.. could be some minor percussions.. or some other levelings that are needed.. dont feel the piano is really necessary.. gets too much u know.. good work

- would sound better if snare was louder and maybe syncopated at times
- break at 3:00 is nice, though melodies do seem a bit overused
- bass seems too muffled or something, maybe its just these cheap speakers im using
- some of the hi-hats don't really fit, subdue them a bit maybe
- nice to see different elements throughout the track

good production quality

i'm sure you could have done way better with the piano melody, that would have been great.

edit: the melody is nothing special at all, but great synthwork !!!
