I was also looking for the first song you mentioned but couldn't find it anywhere for the longest time! In fact, your message was the only hit I found on the internet. I've lived all over, and my conclusion is that it is only played in Louisiana.
The song is aptly called "Turning Out the Lights." I have found versions by DJ Trashy, DJ Jimmy K, and DJ Baby Boom on WinMX. Hope that helps! -tc
