The leader in laser systems in europe. More pro inclined, but I think they carry more affordable yag lasers also.

You can get those so called laser crabs, but they aren't very powerful. Usually you'll only see a point/figure on a wall, and you need lot's of smoke to actually see the beam.

I think one of the most affordable "real" lasers (you see the beam) is the Le Frog Yag from Laser movement. You don't need all those special cooling solutions, it just can be plugged in the mains.

I must say I haven't heared the nicest things about the way 123dj operates their business. Perhaps somewhere else would be better.

Some suggestions:

  • If you want to see the beam as it crosses the room, you will want to buy a smoke or fog machine.
  • I would be careful about buying a 100 mW laser. A laser that powerful is a serious blinding hazard. 5 mW (the power of a typical laser pointer) is enough to project a visible spot onto a wall or screen at distances well over 100 meters, and smoke or fog is a cheaper and safer way to make the beam visible in midair.
That having been said, Pro Sound and Stage Lighting (http://pssl.com) has a number of light-show lasers for sale. Click the "Lighting" tab, then scroll down to "Lasers" (at the bottom of the first column).

Just curious, why would you need a 100mW laser??? The only two reasons i can think of is to use it to blind aircraft pilots, or at 5000 people raves...

If you want to get a laser that powerfull in the united states you need to have a varience or a licensed operator to even get your hands near one!! If your really want to get an awsome laser i would say go with MOBOLASER, they are the standard in almost all clubs and major events, they can get pricey though (about $7,000!)

In france you can get one even if you a regular customer...

those one below is 100mW YAG one

is adviced to fit to an audience of 600 persons.

i saw it in a party it's clearly a good piece of device. however, i cnat' let you think it's for blinding aircraft. when you use it mobile, not in a fix position, it won't blind anything, any laser below this strength requires fog to get the beam seen.

i apologize put i don't want to put the audience in a constant fog during a party.

and many lasers i see in the retailers online are only gadget...

that why i'm searching more examples of what i call domestic laser (less than 15 kg and air cooled), not professionnal, but good enough to be seen even when you have some light surrounding (i mean scanner, gobos...)

the video :

http://www.sonovente.com/videos/LASERVI.wmv

It's about 1400 € without pc connection (option cost 1200 € more) and you' re bale to make your own text and figures by importing from corel draw and more.

cheers
