'Trance' Tracks in video games

Every so often, I come by a track in a game and I think "man, that's awesome and would make for an awesome remix"

My favorite so far has been the music in metroid prime when in phendrana drifts.

If you want it IM me (RIPassion07). I remixed it a while back, but it still has a lot more potential. If you liked Marc vision - Timegate from ISOS 1 you will LOVE this track.

What are some 'trance' tracks from video games you like

Another one would be the track in FF7 where nanaki sees his father dead.

(should i have put this in the gaming forum? would i get more of a response there?)

There was a thread awhile back about Trance & Videogames. It got pretty heated in there.

I'll say what I said then. Track 5 from the game Rez (for ps2) is this remix of Fear by Adam Freeland that's cool as hell, but the soundtrack to the game doesn't have it (not the in game version), and the original sounds like piss. Anyway, it's a cool track, but one that I can't get my hands on.

Oh, and the first time I heard one of my now top 10 favorite songs of all time, Orbital - Funny Break was in the game Frequency. (Only decent song that game had though, including oakie).

the original PC eurofighter game (TFA?) had some very nice audio electro midi style trance tracks which i could and did listen to on their own a lot.

also a game called "hellfire" on the sega megadrive had some really sweet tracks.

also i remember screamer 2 having some nice moozik....

right now though, nothing like having a nice DJ live set on winamp, and fire up NFS underground

the following comes firmly under the "you had to be there" category:
i took the shortcut, did a huge jump through the skateboard half pipe, right-locked, did a 360 degree turn in the air, and hit the road at the EXACT moment as "nu nrg - butterfly" broke, after the build up halfway through.

it was fucking wicked like i say u had to be there though

Well... interesting thread, since im Marc vision - Timegate (Update) fan, this and Cabala - Dark Blue are maybe one of the best trax in ISOS 1, and I always appreciated games OST, and I think like the thread starter, some could be remixed.
My favourites OSTs are:
- from SNK Neo Geo Games, from the King of fighters, fatal fury, art of fighting, etc... series...
- Capcom games I like Street Fighters and Rival Schools OSTs.
- Sonic osts are good too
- Streets of rage its other great example from producer Yuzo Koshiro
- Final Fantasy with Nobuo Uematsu
- Bust a Groove, a dance moves game, kinda puzzle.

Its pretty old but if anyone played "Battle Cars" on SNES I swear there's a track on there that was sampled and is in a newer trance song. If I ever find it(the song or a sample from the game) I'm definitely posting it.

err..i can't remember any trance tracks from FFVII lol

i have the soundtrack too...there's one though, that's trancey like and full of energy and certainly one of my fav. tracks in the game; namely, when near the end you descend the mountain and jump from rock to rock to reach Jenovah..if you remember that tune they play it's fuckin sick!!
