hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Thx for the input so far, but i dunno if you've mis understood what im trying to do. I'm looking for some piece software (prefeably freeware or shareware) that will sperate one long track (ie a 74 minute long mix) into lots of smaller tracks WITHOUT ANY SPACES BETWEEN SONGS, like any proper mix CD...

If you want to make a mix cd created out of one file, into a mixcd with for example fourteen tracks without any gaps, you can use nero. It has something to do with cue points and stuff. For each cue point you add, nero creates a new track without a gap in between tracks. A friend of mine that knows just about anything there is to be known about the mp3 format, told me this. I've never tried it and I forgot where you can add those cue points, but I hope this helps(that is if I understood you correctly). I'm going to fiddle around a little bit with nero and see if it comes back. Then I will explain you how to do it.

There are 2 programs i use that are free to download on the net:
1. "Mp3 to Wave" this is a free program that allows you to convert the mp3 file to a wave file so that the file can then be loaded into a program that will devide the file.
2. "CDWave" this program is sooooo easy to use and its free! Once you have converted the mp3 file into a .wav file you load the wave file into "CDWave" and begin deviding it all up. Once you have put all the devides into the piece of music you just save the new file and burn it!
Just remember to set your burning software so that it burns the tracks in "Session at once" mode or you will be stuck with 2-3 sec. track breaks between you perfectly devided tracks.
Good Luck and have fun!
Kev
