They weren't, but then TDK came in as main sponsor, which gave the people of TW enough cash to keep it going, although not without having to put the TDK brand all over the flyers and posters and even in the event name (TDK Time Warp).

Of course, this throws the whole "last event ever"-fuss into question as just another stunt to generate more PR. And there's always the omnipresent police officers sticking their Mag-Lites in your face while crossexamining you for drugs.
