A few people have said that my last track 'Open Air' was a bit on the happy side
So I have decided to go fore something more on the depressing side for my latest venture
I'm aware that the percussion is a little thin at the moment and the track is in need of background niceties/fx ect to make it a little more interesting, but this is something I will fix later on as it is still early days
Any other thoughts/suggestions/critique are welcomed...
Let me know what you think !
Cheers
PS - Fundy, don't worry mate. I haven't forgotton our track - I'll try to get it sent across to ya tomorrow buddy. Don't worry, it's only 6 months since we started it.....

- I like the fast hi-hats, maybe make them louder.
- Those synth stabs may have a little too much reeverb on them
- Choirs are good, but play with the LFO controls, so that the sound changes, at least in the beginning
- Guitar needs to be a bit more prominent.
- Bass souns pretty good, though I would cut it even lower.
great track, i'm liking this a lot more than that happier tune
but i wouldn't call this depressing either. The bass, imo, actually sounds fine where it's at, that dirtiness of it gives the track a nice unique sound.
melody is nice and mellow, not too catchy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because it's not some epic anthem. i wish you introduced your lead in the breakdown, as the breakdown doesn't offer much besides pads filtering in.
great percusion (even if its only earlie stage ), bassline is ok but maybe has a bit too many freq?? verygood pads, i like this a bit dark atmosphere , great melodie i like the sound you use for it (you use vsts??) overall very solid track , keep it up
this acid(?) sound at the start is nice
bassline is cool!
the clap is good but i think you should make him stronger
the choir & the strings are great!
it sounds like almost everything is a little bit too much panned right, but maybe its just me?
anyway really cool track!
good job!

I don't like the bassline nor the sound of it. The pads are great though Nice and chill tune.

definitely a melody i like more than Open Air
lovely choirs, though i feel they conflict with the pads a bit. they need to be more seperated from each other and should cover more stereo space.
there are a few other issues too, but since this is only a sample, i'm sure you'll sort it out for the final version.
lots of potential in this one.

Usual high standard of production, very clean. Personally I prefer the happy stuff but this is ok. Looking forward to hearing the finished piece.
