Hard to believe a couple chicks romping around in the sack would cause such mayhem. Itt's not the sex that is intellectual, but rather how society precieves the sex, and more importantly, the relationship which lies at the heart of the discussion. We may be spoiled by today's tolerant society, but 30 - 40 years ago, society might not have been as accepting towards a woman who chose and enjoyed stimulating another woman's vagina manually.

These discussion (arguably) help further social norms and acceptance.
