American Views On: The OC, Smallville, Point Pleasant, One Tree Hill
These shows guys are my favourite.New series's of the OC and Smallville started this week as well as a new one called Point Pleasant.Is that Point Pleasant any good? the pilot was great,about the devils daughter.reminded my of the craft but better! and the girl in it Christina is absolutely gorgeous! its a nice change from the usual teen high school stuff.
New smallville looks amazing too! lois lane arrives in this series and omg she is probably the best looking girl i have EVER seen.totally blew me away.hopefully in this series clark will end up flying as opposed to cal-el.
OC started well too.missed it ever since it ended.glad ryan and seth are back in newport.god id love to give marissa's mom one.MILF of the universe in my book.
And One Treel Hill.at the minute the first series has been over a while and were waiting for the next one.to be honest this is probably my favourite show of them all.dying for the next series.is it on in America yet? Peyton is soooo good looking.plus shes a classy rock chic which makes it even better.
wot are your views on these shows guys? which is your favourite? are the USA well ahead in terms of series and episodes? how big are they over there? which is the most popular? etc etc

I watch the OC in Holland, but I usually download the episodes before they come on tv here, we're at episode 5 in Holland I think whereas in the US they are at episode 10 (which should air tonight).
Its a fun show, with all the sleeping around its fucking insane who is all related to who though , those writers have some creative and sick minds

I like the oc alot, even though it does reflect some of teenager experiences, it doesn't reflect it completely as they live in a very different pattern than most of us do here cause they are fucking rich....but then again, television is what is making the people to dream....

The OC's writing / acting got suprisingly better this season.. I don't know if it's new writers or what... But the show is 50x better than it was last season.
I think since they seen they've already gotten their audience's, they decided they could start gunning for emy's or something.
Smallville is kind of close to horrible now pretty much. They try to retred the same story lines every week and it get's kind of old. Thus it's lost more than 60% of it's viewers since the first season.. I'm sure alot of people only watch it to see Kreuk now =p. I predict it will be cancelled soon.

Less cheesy.. That's the word. This season is alot less cheesy than last one.. This time around they know that they've been cheesy and they kind of embrace it.

As a non-american, I find the OC really uninteresting, it's like a rich version of Dawson's Creek crossed with popular minus the comedy.
Smallville is nice, but I havent been keeping up on the latest episodes.
I'm really enjoying Desperate Housewives though, and awaiting the next seasons of Nip/Tuck and SIx Feet Under coz they rock!

The OC is by far my favorite show on regular cable, and i've gotten a lot of other people hooked on it. i think i know more guys than girls that are addicted to that show. before the current season started my bf didn't care about it but now he calls me on thursdays all excited, "OC is on tonight!!"
it's just a fun show. beautiful people, lavish lifestyles, interesting storyline. the thing i like about The OC is that the parents lives are also very involved in the show, rather than just the teens (like Dawson's Creek), so i think that gets even the older audiences interested in it.
i'm excited for tonight's episode. marissa and alex are all cute and bicurious with each other, like "so what do you want to do today?" and they hang out in their underwear.
