Enigma - brings back memories .....
Great thread. I like Enigma's music. My favourite tunes are:
#1. Sadness
#2. Return To Innocence
#3. Push The Limits [video version]

AFAIK, his wife performed as Sandra in the 80's
i have her track Secret Land + Violet club mix of it, it's pretty nice, synthpop, but very good synthpop.

I regrettably haven't heard as many Enigma tunes as I'd like, but given my limited exposure these are my favourites:
1. Sadeness (always. nearly 14 years old now!)
2. Return To Innocence
3. Silence Must Be Heard

My Favorite Enigma songs, pretty hard to choose really far too many.
But off my head is
1. Principles of Lust (Awesome Gregorian Chants)
2. Rain Song
3. Marakesh
4. Return to Innocence
5. In the Shadow, In the Light, Weightless off of their new album Voyageur.
Why is it then when I listen to Enigma I feel like I am in a place of tranquility with a gorgeous woman watching the sunset @ my side.

speaking of return to innocence, i have a question...
long ago i had a tape with somehow different version of the song...
never heard this version on a cd, so could you help me decide what it is or smth.. the track is approx 7mins long
it begins with flutes (or smth like that) and in the end there are very beautiful vocal part [that's missing in the original]:
"don't care what people sayyy, follow just your own way, follow just your own way; don't give up, dooon't give uppp, the return the return to innosence"

Here are my top 5 enigma:
01) Rivers of Belief
02) Knocking on Forbidden Doors
03) Age of Loneliness
04) Why?
05) Child in Us
IMHO, Cretu went downhill after Le Roi Est Mort, Vive le Roi.. I mean, Screen Behind The Mirror was an okay album, but weakish compaired to the rest, while Voyager is simply unmemorable and sounds cheesy in parts... Hell, even russian bootleg E4 - Metamorphosis sounded better..
