Grr....can't stop listening to hip hop! = /

Ok guys, i have been listening to trance for almost two years now. Well i used to be one of the biggest hip hop fan, but since i started to listen to trance, i "tried" to quit listening to hip hop.

Well for some reason, i just cant stop listening to hip hop, well i know its not a bad thing, but do you guys have the same "dillema" as me? as trying to quit but u cant? I know a lot of you guys hate hip-hop..but still, lets hear your opinion!

P.S. for the ones who are down with rap, check out this song Klubheadz - Hiphoppin' great track!!

OMG,
tru this has got to be the most saddest topics i have seen. It seems to me that you want, or you are forcing yourself to like something!! you can't just say, "ohh hip-hop and trance don't match, i better quit listening to it".....and although i fully love trance, and there is basically no other form, well within hard house and those style, dance music sums it up, i do not force myself to like it....So what i am saying is that you just can't quit what you have liked, and still do like, that is both lame and pathetic....think twice

Actually I don't see the problem?

Why don't just listen to both? I think you just have to listen what you like, if ou like hip-hop and trance, why don't listen to both?

If you still like hip-hop why try to quit listening to it? It's ok to listen to a lot of different genres. I listen to trance, house, dnb, hiphop, funk, soul, ambient, jazz.. anything I like basicly. I don't believe in "bad music genres", just bad tracks. There's a lot of great hiphop tracks in my mind, and even though trance is my favourite kind of music, there's a lot of trance tracks I don't like, i.e Dj Tiesto - flight 643. I can't see what's so good about it. But on the other hand, I love Dj Tiesto's earliest productions and nobody seems like to them. Ahh, "Theme from Norefjell".

dude there is nothing wrong with listening to other kinds of music. I used to love RAP back in the day when it wasn't commercialized. I still love listening to 'good' rap tunes, although my first love still remains trance. Nothing wrong with listening to rap...it's all good.

yah, same thing happened with me listening to UK garage all the time since I heard dreem team on r1 today, its strange, I used to not be able to stand the stuff. I would jsut keep listening to it, it will wear off if you don't truly like it, if you do, then you'll just keep listening to it, if everyone had the same taste, than cool music wouldn't exist in my opinion, just go with it.

BTW, love the sig picture, even though its one of the reasons I can't keep up with the TA boards while I'm at school, heh. Looks really nice
