i think it all depends on the venue. I reckon the perfect place for the dj booth is different for every club

I personally hate when clubs put DJ booths all high up on stages. I like when the dj is in a proper booth, visible, but not like the centerpiece of the enitre club where people are gonna just stand and stare.
i believe the booth is best placed high up enough so the DJ can see the entire crowd. that way, you can get the full spectrum of what your music is doing.

thatd be badass if it spun really slow
as far as normal booths, for me it depends on the room its in...
if its a big room with a balcony then raised isnt too bad
other than that i prefer level with the dance floor maybe raised like 6in.. just barely... enough so you can see the crowd better yet not be raised like some idol...

i think it really depends on the club/rave setting if its more of an intimate venue then pretty close to human height but if its more of a massive then raised a bit more. Whats important is that the DJ can see the crowd to know how his music is having an impact.

On the floor but not lit well so that the DJ isn't really the center of it all...Avalon Boston has a crappy booth, its on the second floor and feels like a fucking air traffic control tower.
