your best bet is to use external fx with any synth, the ones inbuilt with the synth can be very limiting

i downloaded the sample off of the v-station website

it's funny that i can't get the flanger/delay/reverb or the equalization to the sounds they have in the sample.

about the external fx. where can i get them besides the ones in fruity loops

haha i just found out i can use fruity plugins with v-station

anyways, yah v-station is pretty powerful..sounds are fuller than the generators in fruity...

only problem i have is the envelope amount...which i dont' kno how to do

download the sample here and i'll explain. (right click)

in the sample the first melody is with v-station. as i increase cut frequency there isn't any rhythm or pulsating feeling...it just kind of blends...however in the second melody as the cut frequency increases the enveloping creates that pulsing rhythm...any suggestions on how to get a similar feel with v-station as you increase cut freq?

No, I just didn't really understand what you were looking for. I thought you didn't know to tweak the resonance as well as the cut off - as for the pulsing you're talking about, I guess I don't know what you mean... Maybe I could help if I had an example of the exact effect you want? Because at first, I thought the sample above what what you were trying to achieve, not what you had already done. That's why I said tweak resonance.

oh i see...i'm messing aroudn with the first instrument or melody...i want it so that when i increase cut freq it sounds good...like not all blended and mushy...distinct notes and stuff like that of the melody that follows...the second melody has a distinct rhythm and doesn't sound mushy when the cut freq is low

After listening to the sample again, BOTH samples sound absolutely correct. There seems to be nothing wrong. Different sounds will respond a bit differently to cutoff but BOTH are just the way I'd expect them to sound.
