Nicole Richie Engaged to DJ Boyfriend
The Simple Life star plans to exchange vows with her boyfriend of one year, Adam Goldstein

Simple Life star Nicole Richie is engaged to marry her boyfriend Adam Goldstein, her publicist Cindy Guagenti announced Tuesday.

The 23-year-old reality TV personality has been dating Goldstein, a disc jockey who goes by the name DJ AM, for one year. The couple recently moved into a Hollywood Hills home together, and they are still working on merging their styles, Richie tells PEOPLE.

"My boyfriend's office has records and shoes and stuff like that, and whenever my friends come over, I'm always like, 'Okay, don't look at that side. This is my side.' We both have very different tastes."

Richie, the adopted daughter of R&B star Lionel Richie, is currently co-starring with hotel heiress Paris Hilton on the third season of The Simple Life, and is working on her own debut album.
