Bought an iPod Photo on ebay a couple of days ago, and now I get an email saying that his account was hacked into. Oh well...thank god for paypal's buyer protection (its just a pain in the ass process). Apple.ca, here I come.

Sorry for the rant! I had'nt been scammed on ebay for years, and now this..some people!!

i got scammed recently on a website as well - when i was ordering christmas gifts on line - I am bloody pissed - as the stupid charge is still on my bloody mastercard - sorry i have to vent

has anyone had any experience in getting a refund from paypal thru their buyer protection program? How long does it take till the refund gets back in your account?

They have infinite fine-print which makes it pretty much impossible to get your cash back.

Hopefully you used your credit card as the paypal funding source - if so, call your credit card company and get them to charge it back.

The PayPal buyer protection will only pay whatever the credit card company does (if anything at all).
