Well I've not slept much so forgive me for any typos
It was a great party, first off there was a big hype here that the party will be sold out since there was a limited number of tickets, but for 19€ it was sorta expensive here so I think they had quite few tickets left over.
Anyway it was announced you could only get the ticket at the club, and they would start selling them at 20h, so a lot of people went there at that time only to get the tix, which sucks because club is in middle of nowhere like 10km outta town. Anyway I met up with 3 friends of mine that came from another city, and we got to club at around 21.30, got the tickets etc., but there wasn't many people, parking lot was like empty. So we had quite some drinks with us, and we just hung there, it was freezing cold though, but it was fun. At 22.30 I went to the club, and a slovenian guy, DJ Elyxsir was playing, he's on TA btw., anyway he played some stuff from summer last year trance & progressive. Funny thing people here understand 'progressive' as something different than for example what you hear on GDJB, more darker driving music. When I told my friend for example probspot - foreplay, he though that was uplifting trance lol
Club itself has 2 floors, but 2nd floor is more like a balcony all around, and that's where DJ is also, it was cut off for VIP only so you couldn't get up without knowing someone.
Anyway Shane 54 was suppose to come on at 23h, but he came on 23.30, he started off with some funny jazz intermezzo, everyone was , now I've seen him last year so I kinda knew what to expect, he had a funny UV t-shirt that said 'Laptop DJ', and his mac laptop had a sign 'SHANE 54 LIVE', heh I dont remember many tunes he played, but some are origene - sanctuary, some dave gahan tune - reach out and touch me?, some pvd - time of our lives remix, filterheads - yimana, etc.
I'm really the worst IDer anyway there was this lame MC, and Shane took mic from him and then he really went nuts, first of all he does some like karate moves lol, and then he started shouting like 'come on on', 'i love this club', 'wooooo', etc. was really fun, I've never seen anything quite like it, and crowd really got into it, there were also some hungarians with hungarian flag there (shane is from hungary). Then at 1.30 it was what everyone waited for, Ferry, well I wasn't all that excited, He played for 4h, and from what I can remember 2nd hour was best, he played tranquility base - surrender, synthaestesia 2004, punk, rock your body, voller sterne (super 8 remix) definetly tune of the night for me, and some more I'll have to look on my phone for videos.
I didnt take my camera this time, but it's ok because every 2nd person had a camera, so I reckon there'll be plenty of photos around.
Me & my friend at one point managed to get up to VIP as he knew someone, and I got to speak to Shane first, as we spoke last year in Budapest I hoped he would remember me, and I think he did, he played before Armin then, anyway we spoke about the home club in Budapest how it went s&%$t, and I asked him for any UK dates, dunno why lol, prolly coz I'm going to UK, but he said it's up to promotors, and me & my friend took a pic with him.
At this point I was right above DJ booth so I could watch Ferry spin, he only played from CDs, and from balcony you could also have nice view of video wall on other end. I told him I would see him at Turnmills in couple of weeks, so we shook hands, so that was cool. Anyway for the last hour or so he played harder stuff, so I didnt enjoy it so much, and I went home at 5.30, overall I would say there was about 500 people there, it wasn't packed and you could dance just right, I sorta met this chick too, heh, there was some italians I met too, we spoke about football etc., and I saw some guys with DV 10 and Mysteryland 2004 t-shirts, I think for everyone it was a good party, I don't know if they'll manage to book any more big names, but I hope it'll have some impact.
Well for me it was a warm up party and that never slipped my mind,
so now I can't wait for London and Armin, it's gonna be awesome, and that time I'll have camera with me I hope, hehe
