I used to love what Mauro was playing in 2004 & 2005, hard & fast paced techno. Yet it seems he has jumped on the "minimal" bandwagon which gets quite boring after a while and is far from hard.

yep i wish he was still dropping the fast hard techno. Why did almost every techno dj jump on the boat??? Mauro still drops it good though.

i think every fuckin DJ has or will jump on that minimal bullshit bandwagon. as far as im concerned "minimal" might as well be "clicks and clacks" aranged in some sort of boring ass beat.

The only time minimal works at all for me is when it is thrown in to a dirty, techy hard house set. DJs like Cox, Tenaglia, Lawler, etc use it as a change of pace. Yet when techno DJs start dropping sets that are all minimal, I run for the hills.

I think Chris Liebing is still playing the good ole style of techno. Guy was great when he played here with Picotto @ Space in 2005 WMC/MMC, and last set I heard of his he had not sold out yet.

What about a hard/tech trance set by Scot Project. That guy destroyed Miami when he played here in 01, blowups galore with sick hard beats. I never saw Level like that ever. He had all the rooms packed and going off.
