Just a quick question for someone who knows about computer connections.
I am going to purchase a new hard drive, and in the picture below you can see an extra "power strip?" strapped onto the black straps, im guessing that can be used for the extra hard drive that I will put it in?
Another question is the yellow/red/black connector.. there is only one connector as you can see from the pic below and there isnt any extra from what I could see. If I were to purchase one where would it be inserted?
^^ confused
Thanks in advance for any help.. here is a pic to see whats going on.
the wide one is the ide cable, that will go into the HDD, but it looks like you'll need a new power one. depending upon your powersource, you may either need a new one of those, or you can just pick up a y-cable from tigerdirect.

Thank you for clearing that up Zench..
What about my powersource would determine if I would need NEW power plug, or I can just buy a Y-cable?
Thanks alot for clearing that up you guys, so using the spare IDE cable attached to the existing hard drive is ok for the new HD I am going to get? Along with a y-cable to split the powercable on the existing drive to go into the new one?

Last question..
For the jumper settings.. according to this picture.. I would leave the master which is currently the one in my comp on the first set of pins? And for my new HD I would just take the pin off so that it remains a "SLAVE"?
