I personally reckon cubase is better for producing dance music.
I'm pretty experienced with both, and use logic for recording live stuff and cubase for dance.
The grid and snap in cubase is so much better, it makes programming music so much easier and quicker. Logic seems to somehow hate having everything on the beat and all sized the same - especially if you've played it in first and then tried to quantize it.
Also, have you ever tried to rewire anything with logic? It takes ages - compared to the single click within cubase. If you're rewiring each instrument individually it becomes very tiresome.
I do prefer the track automation within Logic tho, it keeps things very neat.
If you do go for Logic make sure you pay a bit extra and get version 7. They've made lots of improvements, its a lot more stable, and its the only one worth bothering with if you want my opinion. Its the first one that doesnt look like it was designed on Windows 3.0.
Oh and for the record you can't rewire with Logic Platinum 4.5 for PC.
