Question for SSL and/or FS users

I received my Serato Scratch Live some questions popped in my head.
I obviously cannot play all my mp3s that contain static or noise in break down parts ... Is the solution to replace that file or specific software exists ?

In general, what kind of file (mp3, wav) is recommended for best sound. Are there any trusted sites or p2p networks for either buying or dwlding this specifically gig-ready music? At what bitrate and Khz optimally?

what do you find funny about dwlding from kazaa. Have you not done so yourself at one point in your life?

since I do not own a limtless budget, I most likely will be doing 60-40% proportion in regards of download-purchase.

well, buy as much you can. and what you just CAN'T buy, then download it, i guess.

but still, when downloading, you must be weary that these tracks may have been ripped on shit decks, causing pitch flutter, static, noises, clicks and pops, etc. so if you cann buy it, you are assured it's high quality.

Glad to hear that you got SSL, I use it myself and could'nt be more satisfied!

As for the Bitrate that all depends on what system you plan to play on, if you play on a really loud club then I would say no lower than 192 kbit/s. I recommend 320 kbit/s

wav files that are taken directly from CD will give the best sound. mp3 compression does reduce the quality a bit, so wavs from mp3s will still sound worse than a natural wav.

and BTW, midi files dont contain audio, so dont worry about those.
