I'm new here on board. I made a remix of one track that you all probably know. It's Evolve - Safe to Dream. This remix already got a support from Ronski Speed,Suzy Solar,and more. I'd like to let you hear my work and to have some feedbacks if possible.

percs sound nice, the kick sounds really full and i really like the range its in.

the bassline sounds a little muffled, but maybe that was your idea? or maybe its just the sound quality. very dry sounding as well, perhaps another lower layer would fix that

the melody sounds nice, although i think some automation would keep it from sounding repetitive, i do like the FX on the melody towards the end of the sample.

yes, you are right concerning the bassline sound - it was some kind of idea. I want bass sound to be as fatty as possible without making the whole mix muddy. As you can hear there are actually two basslines doing different job

The bass feels very rumbly which I like. It works well with the punchiness of the kick. Melody is great too and the way you build it up with multiple layers works well.

The pitched filtery sound you have at 2.00 is sweet. Kinda sounds like an eagle or something.. awesome...

This is this timing delay on one of the notes at 1.43. Not sure if thats from the original or what, but it really ruins the melody for me! Kinda sounds like it should be a double note but the first is missing ro something.

I can see why ronski speed is giving this support. Very much in his style. Totally epic trance =)

At first I want to say that the melody comes fully unchanged from the original. I processed the melody sample to suit my arrange needs and harmonized it with different synth, strings layers.

"Eagle" fx you are talking about I created myself using my hardware synth.

Lost In Trance...

Oh sweet jesus, this is gourgeous. Lovin it. That guitarish synth is one of my favourite elements to use in a tune, really gives another melodic direction to any tune its in. I know its a matter of taste but i'd use a background piano during the break to really emphasize the melody more.

Cant fault what ive heard so far though. Top top work man.

- the melody reminds me of BT - Godspeed a little bit, but it sounds pretty nice
- like mentioned, you should play with LFO automation, or use some sort of polyphony
- at 1:54 or so those bg sfx before the kick are really nice
- put in more attention to small details, to make it more interesting
- overall, the song is very uplifting

This track is really well made. The production quality is on its top ! However it's a bit too standard for me. But anyway, I'd prefere this remix rather than original.
