It’s the kind of crime that makes detectives blood boil. And for police, it’s become an all too common phenomenon.
A 21-year-old man is under arrest, charged with living off the avails of prostitution, and procurement, after cops allege he lured a girl onto the mean streets of the G.T.A.
The victim in this case is only 16-years-old. The teen had recently been reported missing from her Mississauga neighbourhood and was discovered working the streets in Toronto.
Cops allege she was acting as a hooker and would turn all of her profits over to the older man.
Carnelle Clarke of Mississauga remains in custody, as detectives look into his other activities. They’re worried he allegedly may have tried to lure others into the life, and they don’t know if he succeeded or whether any other youngsters are still in danger.
