What software can record 8 hours of audio?????

I'm in a desperate need for some software that can record to wav over 8 hours of music. Mattlok is DJing at a party tonight and he wanted to record the entire night. SoundForge has a 4GB cap on the music so that won't quite work out that well.

If anyone knows or has software that can do this please let me know ASAP as it is needed for tonight!

Just PM me! thanks so much TA

-Chris

I'm pretty sure Soundforge can aswell, aslong as your Harddrive has the sufficient space to hold it.

nope...unfortunately soundforge has a 4GB cap on a wav file...i'm kinda going over that by about 2GB or so...i mean one thing that we can do is just cut the recording in half while it's recording then start a new one but that kinda sucks...we're going to try that free one that MrChrome suggested Audacity...we'll see how it works out. i'll let y'all know how well it works too after tonight!

thanks a bunch people!

I use Wavelab to record, and it fooking rocks...I'm almost positive it will record for as long as you need it to, as long as there is enough disk space.

I use Creative MediaSource that came with my soundcard. Records as much as you want and no annoying gaps, as in SoundForge.

Try Sony/Sonic Foundry Acid Xpress/Pro.

if not, digidesign ProTools can do it for sure. (www.digidesign.com)
They have a Free version of Pro Tools but only runs on windows98.
